In this issue we are excited to announce the start of our annual Summer Reading Program. Individuals aged from birth to 16 years of age are invited to join the program to increase their love or reading, improve their literacy skills, and gain a chance to win a $100 gift voucher. We also have a huge line-up of school holiday activities planned for the summer break, so set a reminder, as these free activities book out fast.

Please note that our library operating hours will change over the Christmas period and all libraries except Parramatta Library will be closed on Friday, 6 December for a staff development day.

Summer Reading Program

Join our Summer Reading Program for the chance to win exciting prizes! Along the way, you'll dive into storytelling, discover new adventures, meet intriguing characters, and embrace the joy of reading.

School Holiday Activities

Set a reminder, bookings for our huge range of free school holiday activites will open on Monday, 9 December at 9:30am! Participants can experience a planetarium, dig for dinosaurs, interact with Australian wildlife, and much more.

Laughter Yoga

There's no need for yoga mats or contorted poses—just an open heart and a readiness to have fun! Embrace your inner child and join us for a session that promises to leave you feeling refreshed, connected, and sporting a beaming smile. We can’t wait to see you there!

Special Story Time with Lee Scarfino

Join us for a delightful tale told from the mischievous viewpoint of a child who prefers her parents' belongings to her own toys. Ultimately, the child's greatest joy comes from spending quality time with her family. Lee will be giving away ten copies of the book – so bring your little one along and be part of the fun!

Christmas Story Time

Come along and jingle your way to the end of 2024 with us! Families with preschoolers are invited to this special story time session hosted by our welcoming library staff. After the storytelling, we’ll have a fun craft activity to celebrate this year and welcome the next one.

Online Author Event with Chris Hammer

The Crossing Machine
