We are thrilled to announce a fantastic lineup of events! Participate in a tea blending workshop, acquire essential bike maintenance skills, and explore the fascinating realm of 3D printing. Don't miss our afternoon craft sessions designed for primary school children, along with a special Halloween story time for preschoolers.
 
Additionally, we are committed to enhancing digital literacy in our community through a workshop aimed at improving smartphone navigation skills. Finally, if you're interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you – we are seeking volunteers to help with regular English conversation classes at Carlingford Library.

Botanical Tea Blending Workshop

Join us to explore the benefits of using herbs, flowers, fruits, and spices for tea, including cozy winter blends and refreshing summer iced versions. You will also have the opportunity to create two unique blends to take home and enjoy at your leisure.

Introduction to Smart Phones

Mobile phones have evolved from basic calling devices to feature-rich smartphones that allow internet browsing, social media use, real-time news updates, and multimedia enjoyment through touch screens. Join us for a workshop aimed to teach you how to navigate your smartphone effectively.

Crafternoon

Join our craft program for primary-aged children! Each session will focus on a specific theme and includes activities such as painting, drawing and textile crafts. Library staff will provide support and all materials, ensuring accessibility for every child.

Halloween Story Time

Enjoy an evening filled with thrilling monster tales that will keep your pre-schoolers on the edge of their seats. While some monsters may be spooky, there are also plenty that are cute, silly, and playful. Discover them all during our exciting Halloween story time! 
Get Spooky with ComicsPlus
Calling all ghouls, ghosts, zombies and werewolves. The spooky season is back and ComicsPlus are bringing the comics and manga to give you chills and thrills. Whether you're a fan of spine-chilling tales or lighter spooky fun, there's something for adults, teens and children.

3D Printing Drop-in Session

Dive into the exciting world of 3D printing with us! We're eager to assist you in bringing your 3D design to life. During the session, you'll get the chance to utilise a 3D design platform or a 3D pen. Each drop-in session spans approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Computer Course (in Mandarin & Cantonese)

In this five-session course, you will discover how to effectively use a desktop computer. You'll receive guidance on utilising library e-resources through web browsers and mobile applications. Additionally, you will learn how to navigate the Council's website with ease.

Develop New Skills with LinkedIn Learning

Explore over 16,000 online courses in business, technology and creative content design. Whether you're looking to build essential life skills, learn how to use a computer, or enhance your career, you will learn what you need with LinkedIn Learning.  

Bike Repair Shop

Join this workshop to learn essential bike maintenance skills. You will gain confidence in performing services like checking brakes and air pressure, while evaluating bike safety to reduce risks. Bringing your own bike for hands-on experience is encouraged.

English Conversation Class (for Chinese speakers)

Join our welcoming community to confidently communicate in English. Gain skills for everyday conversations on topics like shopping, travelling, and healthcare.

Flowing Connections

Wed 30 Oct, 6-8pm: Join us for sunset weaving and poetry on PHIVE's Western Terrace. Explore the connection with our waterways with Dharug artist Jessica Tobin and Gadigal artist Akala Newman. This free workshop is part of a series of events exploring all things 'West'. 

Over 55s Activities

City of Parramatta's over 55s Leisure and Learning Service features a variety of physical, recreational, and social activities. From Tai Chi and yoga to knitting and painting, there’s an activity for everyone to enjoy, while making new friends in a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere.

Messy Fun for Babies

Messy Sensory Play for Babies is back in November at Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library for 4 weeks! Join us for stimulating your child's senses and encouraging exploration and discovery through hands-on activities.

Yoga Cubs

Join us at PHIVE for yoga tailored for pre-schoolers between 2 and 5 years. It's all about mindfulness, movement and giggles. Plus, check out the Messy Sensory Play for Babies and Pre-school Pioneer programs designed for fun-filled learning. Term 4, starts late October.

Pasifika Film Fest

Riverside is thrilled to be showcasing the Pasifika Film Fest, a platform for Pasifika creatives to share their culture on the big screen. Experience this year's extraordinary line-up with us, including opening night festivities with the screening of Myths & Maidens.
