During September, our libraries celebrate Health Month with a range of free activities and information sessions to help you and your family become healthier! Join in the fun with our Cha & Chat Chinese social event, mingle with fellow retirees at the Retiree Meetup, and dive into the Health Expo. Plus, sharpen your cooking skills at our healthy cooking workshops!

Exciting news!
We we are one week away from our new library system. From Tuesday, 3 September you can use a range of exciting new features from the new library website to enhance your experience, including:
  • Managing your loans and reservations for yourself and your children.
  • Create your own personalised reading lists.
  • Create personalised notifications to tell you when the library adds new items from your favourite authors, series or genres.
  • Browse the latest books, audiobooks and online content straight from the home page.
We look forward to welcoming you to the new system on Tuesday, 3 September.

Get ready to Spring into Health at your local Library by taking part in a month-long series of engaging activities and informative sessions focused on well-being. Delve into topics like brain health, cooking workshops, meal planning, medicine management, and much more.

Cha & Chat

Join us at our monthly Cha & Chat Chinese social event to connect with new friends, sharing experiences, and motivate and support each other in a friendly setting. This is a great opporunity to meet people and have fun. 
Road and Playground Safety
These interactive talks will cover crucial safety tips and strategies tailored to protect your children in playgrounds, parks, and on the roads. Discover practical advice on supervising play, teaching road awareness, and creating a safer environment for outdoor exploration.

Health Expo

Discover a wealth of information at our Health Expo, featuring stalls from various organisations. Learn about sexual health, HIV, hepatitis, and and discover tips on managing diabetes and osteoporosis. Explore the range of local services offered by the Western Sydney Local Health District tailored to meet your health requirements.

Cooking Workshops 

The aim of these workshops is to help individuals make healthier, budget-friendly, and environmentally conscious food choices while on the go. Participants can enjoy delicious samples and will also receive a digital resource and recipe booklet to enhance their experience.

Retiree Meetup

Come and be a part of our Retiree Meetup, a friendly event for retirees who wish to engage with similar people, exchange stories, and join in some fun activities. A great way to connect and maybe form some wonderful friendships.

Together We Read

Join author Sarah Bailey online on Tuesday 3rd September for a free online bookclub to discuss her wonderful new novel ‘Body of Lies’ and this year’s chosen title for the Together We Read book club. Available as both eBook and eAudibook through Libby. 

Story Box Library

Bring the joy of story time home with Story Box Library. Share the wonders of reading with amazing storytelling and beautiful picture books. Download the the Story Box Library app to watch your favourite stories from home or on the go.

Cyber Awareness
