Ermington Library will close on Monday, 29 July for minor refurbishments, re-opening on Thursday, 1 August at 9.30am. We apologise for the inconvenience, and look forward to welcoming you back to the library after the refurbishment. All other library branches will remain open.
 
We are excited to announce that we have released extra tickets for our super popular Youth Photography Workshop. The first 20 tickets booked out fast, so get in quick to grab one of the remaining few tickets.
 
There are also sessions aimed at increasing awareness of scams, as well as navigating online shopping and banking. Additionally, seniors interested in enhancing their English skills can join our fortnightly conversation classes to boost fluency, with guidance provided during each session.
 
As always, we have a huge selection of books for all ages, so drop into the library to pick up some new items or chat to our friendly staff for suggestions!

Feed it to the FOGO

Join us for a workshop to explore new ways to recycle your food scraps when FOGO services are rolled out in the next few months. We also have fun-filled song-and-dance sessions for children that show how to care for our environment together. 

English Conversation Classes for Seniors

This conversation class aims to motivate seniors with an intermediate level of English, or higher, to engage in discussions on everyday subjects with their peers. 

Exploring Aged Care Services (in Korean)

Learn about My Aged Care, including eligibility, registration, assessment processes, and types of services within the system. You will also learn about the new government aged care system, which was implemented on 1 July.

Scam Awareness

During this talk you will learn about the warning signs of scams and how to report them. You will also become informed about how to safeguard yourself from falling prey to fraudulent schemes.

Youth Photography  Workshop

Do you want to learn the art of photography? Do you have a passion for capturing captivating images? Then dive into our immersive and interactive photography workshop and explore the magic of visual story telling.

Introduction to Online Shopping

Explore the realm of online shopping and banking! This session will enlighten you on the security of online banking and the time-saving benefits of paying bills online. Additionally, discover how to navigate, make purchases, and engage in online transactions on platforms like eBay.

Grants Open!

The Council's Annual Community Grants program starts is open. Local not-for-profits, community and cultural organisations, and social enterprises can apply for a share of $375,000 in grant funding. If you know a local organisation seeking funding, let them know!

Family Science Day

As part of Sydney Science Festival, City of Parramatta and Powerhouse are bringing you an exciting day of free family-friendly science workshops and activities. Discover the wonders of space at PHIVE and Parramatta Square on Saturday, 17 August from 10am to 3pm.
