During the next few weeks we have some exciting events to engage and entertain you.
Dive into a fascinating exploration of your family heritage and create your unique family tree, or enhance your knowledge on online safety and scam prevention. You can also improve your iPad proficiency, and even borrow an iPad for further practice.
 
School holidays are approaching fast, so remember to mark your calendar for Monday, 1 April, to sign up your children for our exciting school holiday program. Also during the holidays we'll celebrate Youth Week with interactive workshops, health assessments, and a free lunch. 
 
All library locations will be closed on the upcoming Easter public holidays: Friday 29 March, Saturday 30 March, Sunday 31 March, and Monday 1 April. Remember, you can still access a wide range of eResources through our online library.

School Holiday Activities

We have lots of exciting school holiday activities to keep your children entertained. All events are free and registration opens at 9.30am on Monday 1 April.
 

Check-In 4 Health 

To celebrate Youth Week, we will be holding free events for youth, with engaging workshops, health screenings, and lunch! Explore 3D printing, VR, terrarium creation, and more. Then check up on your health, with STI testing, blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar level checks, and oral health evaluations.

iPad and eResources Assistance

During our personalised training sessions, you will discover how to explore library eResources, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines. You can also borrow the iPad and bring it home for further exploration.
 

Basic Computer Help in Chinese and English

Join us to learn basic and more advanced computer skills, in Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese) and English, with our friendly library staff. Library staff will also be happy to assist with any questions. 

Introduction to Cybersafety

This workshop will teach you about the risks that exist on the internet, and the precautions you can take to defend yourself against them. You will learn the things that can potentially go wrong and the simple steps you can take to avoid them.

Introduction to Family History

Uncover your ancestry and construct your family tree! In this session, staff will teach you how to research using birth records, census information, obituaries, and other resources.
