Would you like to find out a better way to respond to your child's emotions? Come along to the Turning in to Kids six-week program! This evidence-based program, initiated by the University of Melbourne, is designed to teach you how to foster a positive parent-child relationship.
 
If you are interested in learning more about Alzheimer's disease, you can attend our information session led by Dr. Caitlin Finney. The session will delve into the impact of genetic errors and mutations on the development of this devastating condition. 
 
We have many more programs, which include technology workshops that can improve your digital literacy, a weekly crafting group for those interested in needlework and a regular craft afternoon to keep your children entertained!
 
In this edition of 'What's New in Your Library,' we highlight eAudiobooks for you to discover your next listening experience.
 
On Friday, 8 March, we will celebrate our Union Picnic Day. On this day, Parramatta Library at PHIVE will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM, while all other libraries will be closed. Remember, online resources are accessible 24/7.

Tuning in to Kids

The Tuning in to Kids program focuses on developing emotional intelligence and fostering positive relationships between parents and their children. Parents and carers of children aged 3 to 10 years are invited to participate in sessions to learn strategies that identify and address their children's emotions in a caring and constructive way.

Needlework Nook 

Needlework Nook is a welcoming space for you to celebrate your passion for knitting, crochet, and embroidery. This weekly crafting group provides an opportunity for you to exchange skills and wisdom with fellow enthusiasts. 

Monthly Kids Craft

Join us for our monthly craft afternoon at Wentworth Point Librray and Community Centre, where we will host a variety of art and STEAM activities.

Brain Health Exhibition 

Step into a captivating arts-based display, where you'll engage with an exhibit that promises to ignite your curiosity and uncover your motivation for better brain health. This exhibition, hosted by the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour, and Development at Western Sydney University, was organised as part of the Senior's Week celebrations.

Managing Your Digital Assets

Calling all seniors, celebrate Senior's Week by attending this Tech Savvy Seniors workshop!  You will discover effective ways to organise and oversee your computer files and digital assets, such as passwords.
