Christmas Hours

Parramatta Library at PHIVE will be closed Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years' Day. From Wednesday 27  December to Sunday 31 December, Parramatta Library will have reduced opening hours. Branch libraries will be closed from Christmas Day to Monday 1 January. You will still be able to renew and reserve items online, stream movies, and borrow digital resources 24/7 via our Library App. Return chutes will remain available. Opening Hours.

Thank you for your feedback

More than 1,600 library users participated in our recent Library Opening Hours Survey, which revealed that 79% found the current opening hours to be good or very good and 91% rated their local library services as good or very good. We appreciate all feedback, and will incorporate it into our future planning, whenever possible.

School Holidays

Our school holiday program is now open for registration! Children can unleash their creativity by making paper lanterns, painting terracotta pots, solving a library crime scene mystery, or watching mesmerising liquid nitrogen experiments.

Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is now open! To enter, simply borrow books (digital or hard copy) in any language from your library and you will have a chance to win some amazing prizes. Everyone is welcome to participate. There's $100 gift cards waiting for our lucky winners!

Knitting and Crochet Club

Join our community of needlework enthusiasts at Constitution Hill Library and learn from a creative and passionate mentor. You will improve your knitting and crocheting skills, while making new friends, in a relaxed environment.

Create a Mosaic Christmas Bauble

Bring your children to Carlingford Library to craft their own Christmas bauble! They will adorn a wooden bauble with shiny foil and sparkling rhinestones to create a stunning ornament that will look great on your tree or in your home. 

Tech Savvy Seniors: Intro to Tablets (in Mandarin)

In this workshop at Carlingford Library, we will guide you through the basics of using your iPad or tablet. This will include how to install and use apps, exploring the web browser and communication tools.
